Recreation in Jamestown meets the needs of those that enjoy a gentle stroll to those that strive for a high level of sporting activities. Those interested may participate in flag football, baseball, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, horseshoes, and even cornhole boards.

Walking and biking trails weave their way in and around Jamestown. Jamestown Park is a popular location to park to gain access to the Bicentennial Greenway trail. Wrenn Miller Park, Jamestown’s newest park, affords a serene setting for sitting on a park bench and a fifth-of-a-mile sidewalk loop.

Wrenn Miller Park has a picnic shelter with four picnic tables and an amphitheater complete with a grass seating slope. A Veterans Memorial is located at the northern end of the park with an honorary wall of Jamestown residents that served in World War II. Notice the attention to detail at every turn with dedicated bricks, benches, trees, and a growing maze garden.

For golf enthusiasts, there is an 18-hole Championship golf course open year-round at Jamestown Park. Jamestown is one of the smallest municipalities in the United States to operate its own public golf course. Jamestown Park offers four soccer fields, two baseball fields, shelters, cornhole boards, a sand volleyball court, and plenty of open green space. For shelter rental information, call 336.454.1138. Also, there are tennis courts, swimming, picnic areas, and boating facilities within corporate city limits or walking distance from Jamestown.
