The Town Council has elected to participate in the AARP Livable Communities program. The goal of this initiative is to provide feedback to the Council regarding ways to make our community more accessible for aging adults. Additionally, team members are expected to be advocates for positive change for improving livability for all citizens. There are several goals that this team will focus on:
1) Helping citizens feel safe in the community.
2) Participating in community activities.
3) Having access to safe, appropriate, and affordable housing and transportation.
4) Having access to recreational opportunities and health services.
5) Knowing what services and activities are available and have access to information.
6) Being active, vital contributors to the economic, civic, and social life of the community.
