The Town of Jamestown’s annual Leaf Collection Program begins October 23rd, 2023 and will end on February 23rd, 2024. The program provides residents with the opportunity to have loose leaves collected at roadside without the need of bagging. The program is operated on a routing system that is based on our staff completing one leaf collection route of the town in approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Once a route is completed, then staff returns to the beginning of the same planned route and begins again. To participate in the Leaf Collection Program simply:
The leaf collection program helps keep leaves from blocking storm drains and prevents decaying leaves from polluting lakes and streams.
In addition to the collection program, residents are encouraged to recycle their leaves by composting or shredding them and using them as fertilizer for lawns and gardens. You can also use leaves as mulch to protect plants and shrubs. For more information on mulching or composting leaves, call the Guilford County Cooperative Extension Service at (336) 375-5876.
The leaf collection route may change or be delayed due to inclement weather. The program does not service private streets.
